Kory is a princess turned child slave turned superhero. She is the middle child of three kids, including her younger brother Ryand'r, and older sister Komand'r. In their childhood, Kom betrayed Tamaran, causing the planet to easily be conquered and Kory was handed over to their enemies to ensure peace. After nearly six years of slavery, Koriand'r escaped, gaining new powers along the way. She eventually made her way to Earth, where she would become a Titan.

Here are a list of comics, RCO link included, that I think portray her well and do right by her character:

DC Comic’s Presents #26
Details: Kory's first appearance in comics.

New Teen Titans (1980)

Tales of The New Teen Titans (1982) #4
Details: Touches on Kory's life before coming to Earth.

Tales of The Teen Titans (1984)
Details/Comments: This is a continuation of The New Teen Titans series, with a few issues that aren't included in NTT84. Read until issue 60, then switch to NTT84 for better quality.

The New Teen Titans (1984)
Details: A continuation of The New Teen Titans (1980)

The New Titans (1988)
Details: A continuation of The New Teen Titans series
Comments: There was a change in editorial around this time, so Kory starts getting NOTICEABLY out of character a few issues before #100 & the art becomes bad, so I would stop around there.

Cosmic Odyssey (1988)
Details/Comments: 4 issues, Kory is recruited by Highfather for a mission with Leaguers and New Gods. Not really important to her history, but it highlights her intelligence so I recommend it.

Teen Titans (2003)
Details/Comments: Kory & Vic are mentors to a new generation of Titans. Kory switches teams in #20 so you will be switching between this and Outsiders.

Outsiders (2003) #16-32
Details: Kory joins another team, stories occasionally require you to go back to Teen Titans (2003).

Teen Titans (2016) #16
Comments: Kory is bland in Rebirth Teen Titans, so I’m just going to recommend the issue that’s Starfire centric. But feel free to read the whole comic if you want, she's only there from #1-20.

No Justice (2018)
Details: Prequel to Justice League Odyssey

Justice League Odyssey (2018)
Details: 25 issues, around issue #13 Kory's appearances become inconsistent, and she, Cyborg, & Azrael get sidelined for the story they're doing with Jessica Cruz. There are consecutive issues where they do not appear.

Justice League (2018) #54-57
Details: Picks up on Kory and Victor after the events of Justice League Odyssey.

Here are some comics that don't really impact her story, but feature cool moments for Kory:

Marvel and DC Present The Uncanny X-Men and The New Teen Titans (1982)
Details: 1 issue, the only Titans and X-Men crossover written.

Teen Titans Spotlight (1986) #1, 2, 15, 19
Details: Stories about the individual Titans.

The Kingdom: Nightstar (1999)
Details: 1 issue, alternate universe, focuses on Kory & Dick Grayson’s daughter, Mar’i.

Justice League of Aliens (2001)
Details: 1 issue

Teen Titans & Outsiders Secret Files & Origins (2005)
Details: 1 issue, Kory & Tim Drake go missing. Occurs during Teen Titans (2003).

R.E.B.E.L.S (2009) #15-28
Comments: I'm not too crazy about this comic, but issue 22 Kory helps a female Psion Green Lantern take down a breeding center, which I think is a nice touch due to her history. Trigger warning for conversations pertaining to sexual abuse.

Injustice series (2013-2018)
Details: First appearance: Injustice: Gods Among Us Year Three, 1 issue, alternate universe.

Injustice series (2013-2018) cont.
Details: Injustice 2, issues 37, 38, 40, 45, 57, 58, 60, 62, & 64, alternate universe.

Convergence The New Teen Titans (2015) and Convergence Titans (2015)
Details: Alternate universe, 2 issues in each.

Mysteries of Love & Space (2019)
Details/Comments: 1 issue, specific story: Galentine’s Day. Kory is not the main character in this short story, but she has cute interactions with Hawkgirl and Jessica Cruz.

Titans: Burning Rage (2019)
Details/Comments: 7 issues, cute mini comic of Kory on a team with Raven, Beast Boy, and Tim Drake.

Titans: Titans Together (2020)
Details/Comments: 4 issues, Kory does not have an issue focussed on her but she has cool moments in 3/4 of them.

Generations Shattered (2021)
Details: An 80 page one-shot, has a lead in, in Detective Comics #1027.

Generations Forged (2021)
Details: Part 2 of Generations Shattered.

Teen Titans Academy
Details: Currently ongoing. The New Teen Titans take on the role of teacher/mentor to a younger generation of Titans. Kory is the headmistress of the academy, but the comic mainly focuses on the students.

Future State: Teen Titans (2021)
Details: Two issues, the aftermath of Teen Titans Academy (2021).

Titans United (2021)
Details/Comments: 7 issues, was marketed as something related to Titans, but the only similarity is the lineup.
Summary: The Titans face their greatest challenge—their own powers! Nightwing, Donna Troy, Superboy, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy, and Red Hood kick off a thrilling new case that will lead one of their own to question not only their place on the team, but their very existence.

Starfire is in a live action show, Titans as of 2018. Season 4 is currently filming.

Starfire is in DC's animated universe (DCAU), these movies include Justice League vs. Teen Titans and Teen Titans: The Judas Contract. Kory leads a younger team of Titans in both.

Starfire is a DLC character in the video game Injustice 2.

Upcoming content featuring Starfire to look out for:

  • Blue Beetle: Graduation Day, should be coming out some time later this year. “Trapped between heroics and his future, Jaime Reyes is directionless. When the Reach interrupt Jaime's high school graduation, things only get worse. Starfire becomes a new mentor to Blue Beetle, but is it Jaime or the Scarab that's really in the driver's seat? And why hasn't Jaime applied to any colleges?”
